About	Keith Allen, 49, of Lufkin, was born January 18, 1960, in Lufkin, Texas. He passed away Thursday, November 19, 2009, after a valiant battle with cancer. He was surrounded by his loving wife and three sons. Keith was a long-term employee of Vertis Inc. and was a member of Lufkin's First United Methodist Church. He was a 1978 graduate of Hudson High School, where he was elected as an All-American baseball catcher and attended East Texas Baptist University. Keith loved all sports, but his passion was baseball, and he actively supported the Lufkin Youth Baseball Association for over 20 years as a team coach, coaching not only his three sons through the years but countless other children, as well. One of his greatest joys was that the kids affectionately called him "Coach Keith." He was also an avid deer hunter and a member of the 2-Bit Hunting Club.
