Class of 1976
Air Force, 20+ Years
Joined the U.S. Army in July 1976, right after graduation. My primary career was a light wheel mechanic, but I also worked on the tanks of that era, the M60's. Did 3 years active duty, most of the time in Germany with the 3rd Armored Division. Took a break in service then reenlisted in 82 with the NY Army Reserve. Switched career fields in the late 1980's and became a medic. After 13 yrs with the Army I made a move to the VT Air National Guard. Took another break in service and joined the VT Army National Guard so I was in the Army again. After that enlistment expired I went back to the VT Air National Guard and I've been with them ever since. I finally retire in 2018 so It's been a great ride. Saw the world and made good friends.
