| About Me | Married Lenny Young from Bladensburg, MD. Taught elementary music one year (worst year of my life), worked as a secretary in Kansas City, MO and Independence, KS. Son, Brian, born in 1977 in Indep, KS. Daughter, Amy, born 1981 in Independence, MO. Quit working to raise kids. Went back part time when kids were in Jr Hi as Executive Director of Camp Quality (a camping & support program for children with cancer) while living in Mt Pleasant, MI. Moved back to Indep, Mo in 1992. Directed the Anne Frank Exhibit at the Community of Christ Temple in 1995. Worked as Asst to President of Blue River Community College from 1996 - 2008 when I took early retirement and went to work as the Chaplain at The Groves (a senior retirement community ranging from independent living to skilled nursing care). I hope to retire in 2016 to have more fun with my grandchildren, paint more, spend more time in my yard, etc. I've been unbelievably blessed, because of my work and Len's ministerial assignments, to have the opportunity to travel to Hawaii, Tahiti, Alaska, Australia, Mexico, England, France, Italy, Germany, Morocco, Russia and Ukraine.
