Ann Marie Neal Staton passed away peacefully on Monday, June 26, 2023, after a long battle with cancer. Born in Baltimore and raised in Ellicott City, MD, she attended Our Lady of Perpetual Help School and Howard High school, graduating in 1978. She is the daughter of the late William H. Neal and Dorothy Berg Neal; and was also predeceased by her brother William H. Neal Jr., her infant sister Donna Marie Neal and her husband Scott Staton. Most of her working career was as a medical secretary after completing training at the Medix School. She was also a certified Massage Therapist after training at the Baltimore School of Massage. In 1997, Ann Marie married Scott and they had a lovely home in New Windsor, MD. They had many hobbies, including gardening, photography, participating in Revolutionary War re-enactments, and they enjoyed raising and caring for their many pets.

Ann Marie moved to Brighton Gardens, an assisted living facility in Columbia, MD in August 2022. She is survived by her brother Barry Neal, brother David Neal and his wife Robin, sister Michele Bensky and her husband Neil, 12 nieces and nephews, 14 great nieces and nephews, many cousins, dear friends, and her K-9 companion Zena.
