| About | We are saddened by the loss of our beautiful Jean Iris Byrd, 79. She passed peacefully of natural causes at South Valley Care Center in Albuquerque, NM on December 7, 2023. Jean was born February 24, 1944, to parents John H. Byrd and Golda Locke Byrd of Chambersburg, Pennsylvania. She had one sibling, Donald Locke Byrd. Jean was a pleasant woman who thoughtfully cared about others. She enjoyed the company of her numerous friends, daily home style cooked meals and participated in a variety of activities. She loved playing bingo, listening to jazz music, and excelled at word searches. She called South Valley Care Center her home due to the excellent care she received from nursing, attendants, and staff. Ms. Byrd was preceded in death by her father, mother, and brother. She will always be thought of lovingly as she touched the hearts of all who knew her. |
