About	Ms. Kristine Rosstead Smith, 75, of Ellicott City, MD died Saturday, March 8, 2025 at Sinai Hospital in Baltimore, MD. She was the wife of the late Edward H. Smith. Born May 12, 1949 in Pittsburgh, she was the daughter of Dorothy Rosstead and the late Oliver Rosstead. The family moved to Ellicott City in 1959. After graduating from Howard High School in 1967, she went on to study at the University of Maryland. Ms. Smith was a stay-at-home mom when her children were younger, later working on the staff of Niche magazine. Kris enjoyed spending time with family and friends, especially with her grandchildren. She also enjoyed reading and researching family history. Kristine is survived by her daughter, Alexis Smith of Union Bridge; son, Karl E. Smith and wife Lisa of Catonsville; two grandchildren, Emily and Alexander Smith; her mother Dorothy Rosstead of Silver Spring; and a sister, Barbara Christy of Chesapeake, VA. Kristine was preceded in death by her husband Edward Smith, and siblings, Mary Clifford and Paul Rosstead.
