Wayne Thomas Marr, age 81, of Smithsburg (Washington County), Maryland, peacefully went to be with his creator on April 13, 2023.
Wayne was born September 17, 1941, in North Laurel, (Howard County) Maryland to Henrietta Virginia (Dick) and William Arthur Marr, Sr.
He was a graduate from Laurel High School in 1960.
In February of 1961, he married Margaret Ellen Hylton.
Wayne was a gifted woodworker and an accomplished carpenter. He retired from the Federal Government and was able to indulge in his love of finding antiques, books and movies.
In addition to his parents, Wayne was preceded in death by his daughter, Laurie Ann Howard and his brother, David Doyle Marr.
Surviving are his daughters, Cynthia Teem and husband John and Debra Martindale.
Five grandchildren: Andrew Galloway and wife Aneesa, Christina Marquis and husband Brandon, Michael Galloway, Marissa Torres-Rubio and husband Tony and Dylan Musick. He also had 11 great-grandchildren; one sister, June Anne Van Alstine and husband Walter; one brother, William Arthur Marr, Jr., and wife Christine; and nieces and nephews.
