About	Jacqueline (Higgs) Klein, affectionately known as Jackie, passed away peacefully on July 6, 2024, at the age of 81. Jackie was born on December 24, 1942 and grew up in Elkridge. She spent her adult life in Ellicott City, where she enjoyed life with her children and grandchildren. Jackie was a beacon of kindness and selflessness and touched the lives of everyone she encountered with her gentle spirit and generous heart. Jackie was the beloved wife of Charles A. Klein, Jr., with whom she shared a beautiful and enduring love story. Together, they built a family grounded in love, laughter, and mutual respect. She was a cherished mother to her three daughters, Julie Keough and her husband Michael, Shelia Walsh and her husband Vernon, and Charlotte “Charlie” Corwin and her husband Kevin. Jackie’s role as a grandmother was one she embraced with joy and pride, doting on her grandchildren, Michael Jr., Sydney, Christopher, Connor, Rachel and her husband Dylan, Maddy and her husband Jay, Sara, Erik, and Camilla. She also had the fortune to witness the birth of her great-grandson, Rocco, who brought a new spark of happiness into her later years. Jackie and Charles started their lives together opening a successful truck repair business in Laurel. After raising her children, she then worked for many enjoyable years at Head Sportwear. In later years, she used her skills with numbers working for Integrated Waste, helping her daughter, Julie, and son-in-law, Mike, run a business of their own. Jackie was an embodiment of joy and kindness. She loved nature and experiencing new places and having adventures with her grandchildren. In particular, Jackie loved the water, whether floating or water skiing at the river, swimming in the pool, or watching the waves at the beach, she could be found laughing with her family or relaxing. While Jackie's passing leaves a void in the hearts of those who knew her, her legacy of love and selflessness will continue to live on. She is preceded in death by her siblings, Barbara and Walter, who no doubt welcomed her with open arms. Her spirit, a guiding light for her family, will remain a source of inspiration and strength as they navigate life without her physical presence. A life so beautifully lived deserves to be beautifully remembered. Jackie's family takes solace in the memories they have shared and will continue to honor her life by embodying the virtues she exemplified. Jackie's story is not one of an end but a lasting reminder of the impact one life, lived with love and kindness, can have on the world.
