| About | Wayne Pool, age 77, passed away on Thursday, September 20, 2018, at Foxmoor Estates Assisted Living, Woodbine. Born January 26, 1941, in Baltimore, MD he was the son of the late Norris Eugene Pool and Katherine Marie Murray Pool. He was the loving husband of the late Judy Kay Helton Pool who died October 19, 2005. Wayne had been a businessman for many years. He enjoyed motorcycling, traveling, fishing and especially spending time with his grandchildren. He was a longtime member of Liberty Baptist Church, Lisbon. He had served in the US Marine Corp for 2 years and for over 20 years as a volunteer with Elkridge Volunteer Fire Department. He is survived by son and daughter-in-law: Jeffrey and Terry Pool of Ellicott City; daughters and sons-in-law: Lisa and Rick Powers of Woodbine and Pam and Ken McGlynn of Mt. Airy and grandchildren: Ryan McGlynn, Ashley Jubar and husband John, Dylan, Kelly and Brett Pool and Kristen Powers. |
| Events | The family received friends on Sunday from 2 to 5pm at Haight Funeral Home & Chapel, 6416 Sykesville Road, Sykesville. A funeral service was held on Monday at 10:30 am at Liberty Baptist Church, Lisbon. Interment will followed in Mt. View Cemetery, Marriottsville. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Wings for Life USA - Spinal Cord Research Foundation Inc. 1630 Stewart Street, Santa Monica, 90404, CA. |
