About	Suddenly on Saturday, April 7th of 2007, Olen Lee Ketterman, born in Ellicott City, MD on September 30, 1941, he was a lifelong resident of Howard County. He graduated from Howard County Senior High School in 1959. Olen started his own business, O.K. Seeding & Sodding in 1962 and became successful with his father and son working with im and ventured into all aspects of outdoor work. They then changed the name to K&K Excavating, Inc. Father and son were very close and Olen, Jr. will continue running the business as usual. It was Olen's greatest joy that his son wanted to work with im and take over the business, he taught him well and he will be missed. He is survived by his beloved cat Maxwell and his sister Sissy, wife Judy, son Olen, Jr. and his wife Sylvia and their cats whom he loved also - Fluffy and Fantasia, his father Olen W. Ketterman and Virginia of Edgewater, FL., his sister Peggy Copenheaver and her husband Tim and their daughters Jessica and Jamie in Red Lion, PA.
Events	Friends called at the Haight Funeral Home & Chapel, Rt 32 near Eldersburg from 7-9 pm, Thursday. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Howard County Animal Control and Adoption Center, 8576 Davis Rd., Columbia, MD 21045. Checks should be made payable to Howard County Director of Finance and mailed to the above address.
