About	Edward E. Bloom ~ Age 72 of Mt. Airy Edward Elmo Bloom, 72 of Mt. Airy, died Thursday, February 13, 2014 at Carroll Hospital Center in Westminster. Born August 6, 1941 in Baltimore, he was the son of the late Edward Raymond and Viola Marie Otten Bloom. He was the husband of Vicki Lynn Bloom of Mt. Airy. He retired as a maintenance supervisor with Howard County government and later as a security guard for Howard County government. Surviving in addition to his wife are sons Parrish James Bloom and his wife Beth of Westminster, and Jeffrey Ellis Pickett and his wife Kimberly of Sykesville, daughter Jennifer Lynn Skiratko and her husband Craig of Westminster, sister Patricia Bloom of Hagerstown, father-in-law Olen B. Gibson of Woodbine, and grandchildren Eric and Jeremy Bloom, Austin Skiratko, Indra Pickett, and Brendan and Maddy Leonard.
Events	Funeral services were held on Wednesday at 1:00 PM at Haight Funeral Home & Chapel, 6416 Sykesville Rd., Sykesville. Interment in Crest Lawn Memorial Gardens, Marriottsville.
