Donna E. (Morsberger) Hayes, 77, passed away Friday, April 7, 2017, at Health South Nursing and Rehabilitation Hospital, York. She was the wife of Alvin B. "Al" Hayes, with whom she celebrated their 39th wedding anniversary on April 1.
Mrs. Hayes was born in Landsdowne, MD, Tuesday, October 24, 1939, daughter of the late Philip W. and Margaret B. (Hofman) Morsberger.
She was a graduate of Howard High School, Baltimore Co. She had a passion for horses, devoting 35 years to them.
In addition to her husband, she is survived by a stepson, Gary Hayes and his wife, Paula of York; three step-grandchildren, Alexi Hayes, Alissa Santos, and April Murtoff; two step-great-grandchildren, Destiny and Noah Moats; two brothers, Warren and Stewart Morsberger; two nieces, Rachael and Crissy Morsberger; and a special cousin, Carolyn Zuknick. She was preceded in death by two stepsons, Steven and Daniel Hayes.

Funeral service was 11 am, Tuesday, April 11, 2017, at the LeRoy R. Leber Funeral Home, Inc., 2290 School St., York (Shiloh). Final resting place in Louden Park Cemetery, Baltimore. There was a viewing from 10-11 am prior to the service at the funeral home.
At the family's request, in lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to CEF York Rotary Fund, 724 S. George St., York, PA 17401 for the "Donna E. Hayes Scholarship Fund."
