About Sun, The (Baltimore, MD) - Tuesday, November 30, 1993
Kristin Lynn Dintelman, a student at Towson State University and an Elkridge resident, died Saturday of injuries she received when the truck in which she was a passenger crashed into a concrete pillar on Interstate 195 near Elkridge.

She had celebrated her 20th birthday two weeks ago.

She was remembered as an outgoing, caring person who was always smiling.

"She had the biggest smile and the heart to match it," Steve Sunderland of Towson said. "That was the first thing you noticed about her -- that wonderful smile. She'd do anything for anybody and never asked anything in return," said Mr. Sunderland, who had known her since high school and at Towson State.

"She was a very caring and sincere person," her father, William A. Dintelman of Westminster, said.

Ms. Dintelman was born in Catonsville and reared in Elkridge. She was educated at St. Mark's School and St. Augustine School. In 1991, she graduated from Howard High School, where she had managed the girl's basketball team, played field hockey and was a lacrosse goalie. She also performed in the school's production of "Annie Get Your Gun," and belonged to the Environmental Club, Ski Club and the SAT Club.

She continued her education at Catonsville Community College and this fall had transferred to Towson State, where she studied nursing.

A Mass of Christian burial was to be offered at 1 p.m. today at Our Lady of Perpetual Help Roman Catholic Church, 4795 Ilchester Road, Ellicott City. Interment will be in Meadowridge Cemetery.

She is also survived by her mother, Mary Jean Parrott, and stepfather, George A. Parrott; a stepbrother, James C. Parrott; and a stepsister, Allison G. Parrott, all of Elkridge; her maternal grandmother, Gertrude L. Murray of Catonsville; her paternal grandmother, Georgia G. Dintelman of Virginia; step-grandparents Albert G. Parrott and Pauline Parrott of Elkridge and Mildred R. Parrott of Ellicott City.
