| About | arbara L. Coon, 76, of Augusta, W.Va., formerly of Westminster, died Tuesday, May 8, 2012, at home. Born Feb. 11, 1936, in Morristown, Tenn., she was the daughter of the late Floyd C. and Willie L. Heath. She was the wife of Walter T. Coon Sr., her husband of 58 years. She was a homemaker. Surviving, in addition to her husband, are sons Charles T. Coon Sr. and companion Angie Hooper, and Walter T. Coon Jr. and wife Teri, all of Westminster, Floyd T. Coon and wife Mary, of Laurel; daughters Debra L. Crawford and husband Bernie, and Lorelei J. Janowitz and husband Frank, all of Augusta, W.Va.; a sister, Margaret Owings, of Galena; brothers Walter J. Heath and wife Ina Mae, of Augusta, Jerry Heath and wife Marie, of Leesburg, Fla., William Heath and wife Yvonne, and Gary Heath and wife Chrissy, all of Saluda, S.C.; a caregiver, Tammy L. Morgan; 11 grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; many nieces and nephews; and those she was a special mother to, Curtis Heath, Jack Baynar, Herbie Fogus, Dianna Coon, and many others. She was predeceased by brothers James H., Floyd C., James R. and Allen T. Heath; a granddaughter, Samantha L. Crawford; and Robbie Blankenship, who she was a special mother to. |
| Events | A funeral service was held Saturday at McKee Funeral Home Chapel in Augusta, with Dennis Voit officiating. Interment was in Ebenezer Cemetery in Romney, W.Va. |
