Lillie Jane Propst, 82, of Harrisonburg, passed away Saturday, August 25, 2018, at Bellaire at Stoneport in Harrisonburg. Lillie was born in Olney, MD, on October 2, 1935, a daughter of the late Genevieve (Feaga) and Charles Lawrence O'Donnell. She retired in 1995 after 20 years of service from JMU where she worked as a switchboard operator, and was a member of the Clover Hill United Methodist Church. On April 23, 1987, she was united in marriage to John Albert Propst, who preceded her in death. Lillie is survived by three daughters, Donna M. Goyer and husband, Gary, of Roanoke, Deidre M. Pritt of Frederick, MD, and Denise M. Lam and husband, Rodney, of Elkton; two sisters, Genevieve Kozusko of PA, and Elizabeth Brigham of Ashton, MD; three brothers, Charles O'Donnell and wife, Mary, of Woodbine, MD, Edward O'Donnell and wife, Gloria, of Ocean Pines, MD, and Michael O'Donnell and wife, Sandy, of Pewaukee, WI; eight grandchildren, Jeremy Goyer and wife, Shawn, Michael Goyer and wife, Faith, Rodney W. Lam and wife, Tiffany, Patrick Lam and wife, Kristin, Dexter Lam and wife, Amanda, Christopher Daidone, Courtney Pelletier and husband, Josh, and Matthew Pritt; nine great-grandchildren, Gabbie Layne, Briley and Tanner Goyer, Cater and Jacob Goyer, Madison and Sophie Daidone, Hadley and Tristan Lam. She is also preceded in death by a step-son, John Propst, Jr.
The family received friends from 6 to 7 PM Wednesday, Aug. 29, 2018, at Johnson Funeral Service in Bridgewater. A funeral service will be conducted 11 AM Thursday, Aug. 30th, at Clover Hill United Methodist Church, with Pastor Sarah Bailey officiating. Burial followed in the church cemetery.
