Floyd E. Hollenbaugh, Jr., aged 82, born in Maryland, resident of Bay Minette, Alabama, died Friday, February 12, 2016.
Floyd is survived by his best friend and wife of 56 years, JoAnn; his four loving children; Lorraine Wright (James) of Michigan, Cecilia Nehl of Michigan, Wayne (Terri) of North Carolina, and Craig of Bay Minette; 13 grandchildren; Stephanie Wright, Matthew Nehl, Emily Wright, Madelynne Nehl, Craig Wright, Alicia Nehl, Trevor Wright, JoAnna Nehl, Clara Hollenbaugh, Caleb Hollenbaugh, Reagan Hollenbaugh, Audrey Hollenbaugh, and William Floyd Hollenbaugh; and one sister, Doris Ellers.
The family would like to extend our heartfelt thanks to Kindred, Gentiva Hospice personnel for all of their outstanding care and support.
F!oyd was retired from the military having served two tours in Vietnam and specializing in turbine engine repair. Later in his career he taught classes on this subject at Fort Eustis, Virginia where his students would frequently compliment him on his talented teaching skills. He was an avid gardener who was well known for his beautiful, fragrant roses. He will be greatly missed by all.
