Lawson, Mary Elizabeth
84, left this world and entered into eternal life with her Lord and Savior, Christ Jesus on April 9, 2024, in Wichita, KS. She was born in Marlow, Oklahoma on Feb. 26, 1940, to Jeffery William and Elsie Rosie Lee (Lackey) Pierce. Although her education lead her to be a Certified Medications Aide for 10 years, Mary worked many jobs including Postal Clerk, Library Clerk, and Apartment Manager. Besides being a loving wife and an amazing mother, grandmother and great grandmother, Mary’s calling was to be a Pastor’s wife. With that calling she became a second mom to many kids who enter her home and a beacon of hope and refuge to the lost and hurting. Even in her last hours, she reached out to prayer for one in need of prayer. Mary had a heart for God and that caused her to love like He loves. She is preceded in death by her parents; sisters, Trudy Mayhan, Eileen Murphy and Betty Carter; brother in laws, Everett David, Lloyd Williams, Edwin Carter; sister in laws, Verlene Williams, Verla Lawson, Maxine Lawson and Helene Munson. Survivors include husband of 64 years, Forest Calvin Lawson, Derby, KS; children, Jeff Kim) Lawson, Colorado, Terrell Lawson, Derby, KS, Perry (Shari) Lawson, Oregon, Traci (Dwight) Bennett, Derby, KS and Jason Lawson, Arizona; sister, Wanda David, Washington, State; 10 grandchildren and 10 great grandchildren.
