About George Isaac Buscall, Jr., (Pop-Pop) 81 of Leonardtown, MD passed away on May 27, 2021 in Leonardtown.

He was born on October 13, 1939 in Baltimore, MD to the late George Isaac Buscall, Sr. and Alice Marie (Wooldridge) Buscall.

George grew up in Baltimore MD. As a teen he held various jobs before entering the US Army in 1966.

He started his service in the Army as a supply specialist and was deployed to Vietnam in 1968. During his time in Vietnam he received training to be a helicopter electrician. After his discharge from active duty, George remained in Vietnam working for Dyncorp until his departure in 1975.

George, his wife Nga, and his daughter Tam were able to escape Vietnam on one of the last civilian planes to take off. He then worked for Dyncorp for 20+ years traveling the world installing and maintaining jet engine test cells.

When home, George loved to crab and fish with his mother and Tam. They enjoyed taking long road trips to Luray, Virginia and skyline drive. George was a dedicated and hard working father and devoted to his mother who lived with him until her passing in 1997.

His grandkids will always remember Pop-pop for his seamily endless stories about his cars when he was younger, his adventures in vietnam driving crazy delivering parts from base to base. Always the scrounger. He could get anything anywhere, hence his Army nickname “Mole”.

He is survived by his daughter, Nguyen Thi Tam Nhi “Tam” Powell and son-in-law Doug Powell of Leonardtown, MD; 13 grandchildren, Adam M. Powell, Sr. Constancy, Jonathan D. Powell, Allison L. Lehman, Hunter I. Powell, Anna J. Powell, Sr. Redemption, Clare A. Powell, Noah D. Powell, Catherine R. Powell, Moses D. Powell, Miriam R. Powell, and Maria T. Powell; and 10 great grandchildren, Emma, Solomon, Logan, Henry, Benedict, Diana, Pia, Patricio with two on the way. He is preceded in death by his siblings, Alice Stormer, Ellen Hughes, and Betty Flannery.
Events George was laid to rest in Arlington National Cemetery with his fellow servicemen.
