On May 23, 2016 Hanif M. Betsill Omar, husband of Amy M. (Easter) Omar, son of Louis D. and Aaliyah (Peterson) Betsill Omar, father of Vaughn Blackman, Aleah and Isaiah Omar, brother of Khadijah, Tarikah, Rabiah, Akrom, Abdul, Effat, Ilyasiah Betsill Omar and the late Aminah Betsill Omar.

Friends may call Friday 2-4 & 6-8 p.m. at the Slack Funeral Home, P.A., 3871 Old Columbia Pike, Ellicott City, MD 21043. Funeral Service form the above funeral home Saturday 11 a.m. Interment Crestlawn Memorial Gardens. Pallbearers will be, Vaughn Blackman, Isaiah Omar, Akron Omar, Abdul Omar, Ramir Omar, and Rahma Omar.

Habit was an incredible friend of mine during high school and someone you could always count on. I was blessed to have been able to meet up with him about a year before he passed and had lunch, which was really great. I was heartbroken to hear the news and think of him often.

My sincere apologies. I just realized that my previous post contained a typo that incorrectly listed his name. Of all the errors to make, this was one I never intended. I am truly sorry, HANIF, and I apologize to his family, friends, and classmates for the mistake.
