About Estelle Fatum King, 84, beloved Mother of 4, Nana to 7, Choir/Band Director to countless, retired Educator, Head Angel to the Angels for a Cure Relay for Life Team, and lover of all things family went to be with her Lord after a long battle with cancer. Estelle was born in Fulton, NY to John and Violet Fatum. She grew up in Kingston, NY and graduated from Kingston High School. After high school, she attended Boston University, where she double majored in voice and piano. Her love for music continued throughout her entire life. Whether it was as a music teacher for schools, accompanying choirs, playing piano for students who were auditioning, leading the pep band for a basketball game, Choir Director for Glen Mar United Methodist kids/youth/seasoned older choirs, she never failed to say yes when somebody was in need of her expertise. It was always her pleasure. Her love for the arts was endless. Active in Summer Theater, she performed on stage when she could or would step off the stage and into the pit if they needed her there more. That love of theater translated to Toby's Dinner Theater where she worked in the box office for 30 plus years and enjoyed all of the amazing shows (and the Spinach Phunque). Toby, the staff, and actors were like another family to her. Estelle would frequently go to TN to attend the gospel festival with her friend Marie just because she loved music and especially music that praised her Lord. Until her health kept her from it, she was an original season ticket holder for the Ravens and loved to be at the Stadium wearing purple and cheering on her Ravens. Justin Tucker was her favorite player and loved the fact that he can sing too! Family was everything to her. She always had a smile on her face when she would brag on the accomplishments of not only her own children, but her many grandkids. She always would put others before herself. It wasn't uncommon that she would go without so others can have what they wanted.

She filled in at Howard High School when the music teacher left on maternity leave.
