About	Dennis, 55, of 117 Polaris Drive, Walkersville, died at his home after an extended illness. Born in Baltimore, he was the son of Harold and Eleanor Davis Pruitt of New Smyrna Beach, Fla. He was the husband of Marlene E. Pruitt, his wife of 26 years. Denny grew up in Howard County, where he and his brother were Cub Scouts and Boy Scouts under their father as scout leader. He was a 1968 graduate of Howard High School and had attended Catonsville Community College. He served 19 years as a policeman in Howard County and was then employed as the business manager for Dr. Douglas J. Koch, Frederick. He was a member of St. Peter the Apostle Roman Catholic Church in Libertytown. Denny was an avid NASCAR fan and enjoyed working on automobiles, especially his hotrod. He enjoyed racing his hotrod at the 75 & 80 Dragway. Denny was able to maintain his great sense of humor throughout his illness.
Events	Visitation 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Wednesday at Hartzler Funeral Home, 11802 Liberty Road, Libertytown. Mass of Christian Burial 11:00 a.m. Thursday at Parish Center of St. Peter's Catholic Church, Libertytown. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to a scholarship fund for daughter, c/o Marlene Pruitt, 117 Polaris Dr., Walkersville, MD 21793.
