About	Sonny was raised in Ellicott City, MD, he graduated from Howard High School. He married his high school sweetheart, Ann Mercier Bean in 1961. He served in the National Guard and worked at the 7Up Bottling Company in Catonsville, Maryland, for 35 years. In addition to his family, Mr. Bean loved sports, playing both basketball and softball and was an avid horseracing fan.
