About Annette, 81, of Annapolis, MD, passed away in her home, due to complications of Alzheimer's disease. At her request, Annette was cremated. Her cremains will be interred at Arlington National Cemetery at a later date. Annette was born in Martinsburg, West Virginia.
Her family later moved to Ellicott City, MD where she attended Howard High School and continued on later with post graduate work in education. While at Howard High, she was very active in dramatics, acting in and directing several productions. Annette was married to Lawrence Larson (Larry) on June 5, 1958 at St Paul's Church in Ellicott City. They were married for over 60 years. During their marriage, they lived in several different cities due to Larry's career as a Naval officer. After many years as a dedicated Navy wife raising four children and adopting a fifth, Annette applied her management skills in various positions working in medical offices and part-time teaching roles at her children's schools. She was very active in politics and donated her time supporting local political campaigns. Annette was very imaginative, artistic and outgoing, and enjoyed traveling in Europe and throughout the United States. She loved the arts and music and enjoyed going to plays, musicals and concerts, particularly the Rolling Stones. Always the extrovert and life of the party, Annette was known for her original songs and poems and performing them on her guitar and ukelele. She had a passion for collecting antiques and especially loved painting and refinishing old furniture which she picked up at yard sales.
