Larry, 73, of Westminster passed away unexpectedly on Wednesday, at his home. Larry was a proud veteran of the United States Marine Corp serving during Vietnam as a helicopter crew chief. He graduated from Howard High School, class of 1967. He was a firefighter for Howard County for 32 years, until his retirement where he was famous for taking the annual PT test in full uniform and boots (among other shenanigans). Widely respected by his peers, he had a work ethic second to none, a dry sense of humor and unfiltered commentary that kept everyone guessing what would come out of his mouth next. An avid golf enthusiast, he was employed at Westminster National Golf Course as Mr. Do-It-All for over 20 years. Grand-do was adored by his grandchildren and he loved spending time with them; showering them with gifts, sharing Oreo cookies and pumpkin pie and buying them cars. He was never one to suffer fools or take recognition for his tasks and deeds. Larry was a much loved, kind and compassionate individual; always there to support his peers, friends and family putting them ahead of himself at every turn.
