In Butch's early years he went to Stubbs elementary school, and eventually graduated from Howard High School in 1969.
Butch retired from the State of Delaware as a Presentence Investigator. You could always see Butch on the courthouse steps on King Street (the original courthouse). We used to always wonder what he was doing at work because he was always on the courthouse steps! He later worked at Howard High School of Technology.
Butch was a member of Ezion Mount Carmel United Methodist Church, where he was seen every Sunday with his mom in his early years. He was also a proud member of the Star of the East#1, and many other organizations. Butch always talked about how he loves his Masonic Family.
Butch coached a youth football league at People Settlement. He loved helping the youth and assisting in the community. Butch also loved music. He was a member of a local R&B Funk band. Butch was the kindest and most decent person you will ever know. Butch wanted everybody to wear a smile and not a frown on their face. Butch will also be remembered as having gatherings at his house. Many of the guests remember Dew Drop Inn; and many people still have their membership cards! In Butch's later years, he loved going to the Farmers Market for his breakfast.
