About	After graduating from Howard High School in 1971, Dennis went on to work as a master electrician. Dennis found employment at the Johns Hopkins University Applied Physics Lab (JHU-APL) in Scaggsville, Maryland, where he helped to simulate the extreme conditions of outer space on a multitude of satellites and spacecraft operated by NASA. Additionally, his invaluable work on weapons and communications systems supported the United States Navy, the United States Marine Corps, and the Missile Defense Agency. He retired after 40 years of work. Dennis Robert Miller, 71, of Catonsville, Maryland, after a courageous and long battle with pain and depression.
Events	A graveside service for Dennis will be held at 11:00 am on August 31, 2024, at the Historic Good Shepherd Cemetery located at 2805 Rogers Ave, in Ellicott City, MD. Attendees are encouraged to arrive before 10:45 am. A celebration of life and reception is scheduled afterward, beginning at 12:00 pm on August 31, 2024, at the Howard County Historical Society Museum located at 8328 Court Ave, in Ellicott City, MD.
