Kerry Eileen Rose

Passed away 2019

Kerry Eileen Rose attended Howard High School in Ellicott City, MD.

Class of 1996
Date of Passing May 10, 2019
Kerry Eileen Rose, age 40, passed away on May 10, 2019, after a two-year battle with advanced Stage 4 colon cancer. Everyone at Johns Hopkins Oncology who knew her will remember her never-ending optimism and resilience, her infectious friendliness with both staff members and other patients, and her free-spirited and totally unfiltered approach to life.

In 2016, a year before her cancer diagnosis, Kerry finally conquered the drug addiction that had controlled most of her adult life. This was one of her greatest accomplishments. This dreadful disease destroyed everything that had any meaning or value to Kerry, including her self-respect and dignity. Kerry's addiction denied her the opportunity to become the charismatic, loving, intelligent, and beautiful woman that she had the potential to become.

Kerry was a 1996 graduate of Howard High School. She attended The Maryland School of Massage and became a licensed Massage Therapist in the State of Maryland. Kerry was employed a number of years at Lynn's Day Spa in Columbia, Maryland, as well as other spas in the Baltimore metropolitan area.

Kerry is survived by her father, Lee Stewart Rose, her mother, Alice Jane Rose, both of Ellicott City, Maryland, and two first-cousins, Joy Thompson and James Thompson, both of which live on Long Island, New York.
