About Me	I traveled around the US for several years, spent a few years in Tucson, then back to CT. I met and married Mark Hewitt, a potter from England and we found a rundown farmhouse in a small town in NC in 1983 (we came for the clay...) and have been here ever since. Mark is fabulous potter and I run the business. I worked for a short while in the corporate world running the relocation department for a big tech firm, and then got into corporate training. I left that to lead Prejudice Reduction programs, working to eradicate oppression. In 2010 I founded a non-profit that connects small-scale sustainable farmers and food businesses to local investors and lenders. I wrote a book about that and traipsed around the US speaking and promoting financing local food.
