Class of 1965
Dear Classmates,
45+ years my grandfather was preparing to attend his 50th high school reunion at Higgins when I blurted out, "I never knew anyone who had a 50th Reunion.” In just a few months, as members of the Class of 1965, we will arrive at that landmark 50th class reunion!!! Remember we are NOT over the hill, we are on top of the mountain!
The tentative reunion dates are July 8th and 9th, 2015. Our previous reunion was 2 days prior to the
All Class Reunion which is scheduled next year to be held July 10th and 11th 2015.
Our reunion should be personal and unique from all previous years. In the past responsibility was left to a small group of planners. This special reunion should be a collaboration involving all of us. Success of the occasion is dependant on each of you. You all have unique and worthy suggestions so let’s hear some of them
We all have the opportunity to look ahead and express our thoughts and make this the most of all possible reunions. The success should be due to everyone’s participation in planning.
This committee's purpose is simply to help assemble your ideas and suggestions and not express our wishes. Ultimately, this reunion is yours. In order to accomplish this we need your current email and/or home address.
The North Star News, Facebook, Classmates, My Life and Twitter as well as personal emails or letters will be used to communicate. Information as time progresses. Diane McKinney Brogan has set up Facebook page: Houlton High School Class of 65.
Let’s hear your suggestions. Time passes rapidly so let us know your proposals and ideas ASAP.
Dates: July 8th & 9th, any other suggestions
Events: Informal meet & greet at the Horn with bar and hors d’oeuvres
Reservations: Will you need housing? How many? For how long? Room or efficiency?
Banquet: sites: Snowmobile Club houses are self contained
Horn on North Road is a restaurant banquet room

Banquet meal: Do you have meal suggestions ? Entertainment: ?
Former teachers and spouses: Opinions on invitations and compensation for their meals
