About NEW LIMERICK - Isabel Anne Holck, 77, (also lovingly referred to as "Pokey") passed away Saturday September 26, 2015 at a Portland hospital. She was born June 19, 1938, in Millinocket, the daughter of Wilbert and Dora (Durost) Gagnon. Isabel grew up in Houlton and graduated from Houlton High School in 1956. September of the same year, she married George Holck with whom she would share fifty nine years of marriage. Isabel and George would have four children; Kenny, Diane, Roger, and Sandy. She worked in the home looking after the family as well as helping George on the farm. She enjoyed knitting; making many socks and mittens. She also enjoyed her "soaps", visiting with friends and her Sunday rides with George. Isabel will be remembered by her family as being a very loving and selfless lady full of patience, humility, and always sharing her quick wit. She was very thoughtful and always made a point of remembering birthdays, special events and anniversaries. People always felt welcome at her home. Family visiting from out of town would often stay at their home. Isabel leaves behind her loving husband George of New Limerick, three children; Kenny of New Limerick, Roger of Houlton, Sandy Qualey of southern Maine, three grandchildren; Corinne Nadeau and her husband Lucas of Houlton, Barat Qualey of Albermarle, NC, Keegan Qualey of Houlton, two great-grandchildren; Felicity and Maverick Nadeau both of Houlton. She will also be missed by three brothers; Arnold and Ernest Gonya both of Houlton and Joseph Gonya of Monticello as well as several nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents she was predeceased by a daughter Diane, and four siblings; Donald Gagnon, Myrtle Kino, Richard and Roland Gonya.
