About	nnah Mae Mooers Houlton Hannah Mae Mooers 19, passed away Tuesday, February 3, 2015 at Maine Medical Center in Portland, Maine. She was born in Houlton, Maine on April 29, 1995, the daughter of Christopher and Paula (McGuire) Mooers. Hannah attended Happy Apple Preschool and she attended and graduated from the Houlton School system in 2013. Hannah was employed by Houlton Farms Dairy Bar, Subway of Houlton and was a substitute at Houlton Elementary School. Her dream was to complete a degree in Early Childhood Education. Hannah handled her many health issues with grace, stubbornness, faith and through all this always stood back up, brushed herself off, put a smile on and carried on. Hannah was a giving person with a contagious smile. She was instrumental in organizing McKenna’s Hope and Team Caysen fundraisers. Hannah enjoyed attending Houlton School of Dance for as many years as she was able to participate. Hannah knew how to laugh, how to love, how to find the best food at any restaurant, how to dress, and this girly girl knew how to put on the best eyeliner and how to wear PINK! Hannah spent many happy hours holding babies and taking photos of them. If you followed her on Facebook, you know she loved her fur babies, too! Hannah made every single person feel special and always rooted for the underdog. She brightened and touched many lives. Beside her parents, she is survived by her siblings Nate and Kylee Mooers; maternal grandparents Carl and Lana (DeVoe) McGuire of Linneus, paternal grandparents Randy and Barbara (LeVasseur) Mooers of Ludlow; great grandparents Gene and Marie Drew of New Limerick; uncles and aunts include Charles Sanderson and Debra McGuire Sanderson of Bangor, Brian and Barbara McGuire of Houlton, Jon and Heather McGuire of Linneus; her cousins who were as close as siblings include: Vanessa and Parker Sanderson, Jenna McGuire, Joshua McGuire and his wife Melody, Jared, Ellie and Meg McGuire; special friends Ashton White, Logan Swallow, Whitney Palmer, Michael Vollmer and many others. Her outgoing personality endeared her to many. She appreciated the support of Houlton High School staff especially Julie Dunn Brown. We are forever indebted to Dr. Angelea Gilladoga of Bangor and to Drs. John Keane, John Mayer and David Brown of Boston Children’s Hospital for their excellence in pediatric cardiac care who were instrumental in keeping Hannah alive during her early years.
