About	Dean served in the U.S. Navy. He was the principal of Island Falls High School then taught math at Houlton High School for 38 years. Dean is survived by his brother, Lynn York of Houlton; three daughters, Jody of Orrington, Diane of Standish and Susan of Houlton; and two grandchildren, Casey and Gehrig of Orrington; a cousin, Garvin Golding and his wife Linda of Houlton. He will be fondly remembered as Gramps to Frank Dorr. He was pre-deceased by his parents, Malcolm E. and Muriel (Golding) York.
