About	He passed away in the comfort of his home, after a long illness. Jack graduated from Colby College in 1953. He embarked on a career in the newspaper business that spanned more than 30 years. He was manager and editor of the Houlton Pioneer Times and business manager at Northeast Publishing Co. overseeing four area papers. During the latter part of his tenure with the company he served as director of newspaper operations and executive editor. He was inducted in the Maine Press Association Hall of Fame 2004. Jack is survived by Esther, his wife of 57 years; three sons, Robert, John and James; one grandson. He was pre-deceased by his parents Robert and Marion Faulkner.
