Bob died of natural causes in Pocohantas, Arkansas, May 5, 2009. Memorial services were conducted in Hot Springs by his younger sister, Sissy. Bob's ashes were spread in the places he loved when he resided in Hot Springs, including the front steps of Hot Springs High School, and Lake Hamilton.
