Eric passed away on Oct 1, 2008 after a brief illness. He is survived by his wife of 27 years Tammy, and 3 children: son Justin (wife-Ashley), and twin daughters Melinda and Erica. Eric's mom, Katie Hirt Norman, still lives in North Canton. His sisters are Sharie (class of 75), Val (76), Vicki (79) and Jennie (81). Eric always looked back on the Hoover High Band as one of his favorite HS activites. He was an avid supporter and volunteer for his children's HS band program in Herdon, VA where he lived.
