Holton High School Class of 1989 20 Years ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------ April 17, 2009 Dear Classmates, 20 years! How time flies! Some of us have started organizing for our 20th reunion. The Alumni Banquet is on Memorial weekend. Most of our class reunion activities will also happen that Saturday. Here is a schedule of what has been planned: Friday A.M. Golf: Holton Country Club 10:00 A.M. Contact Joe if interested. Friday Night Adult Fun: Friday, May 22nd at 6:00 pm we will meet to kickoff the weekend at Joe and Karrie Gilliland’s. Location dependent on weather. Snacks and pop will be provided. BYOB & your lawn chairs. Parade: Saturday, May 23rd @ 11:00 a.m. We will meet at the east parking lot of the high school at 10:30 a.m. to load up and “cruise†around the square! We have no plans to do t-shirts for our 20th. If you have a different idea please let us know. Pre-Party Family Style: After the parade we will all gather at Banner Creek Resivor, Shelter House # . Smoke Master, George Uhl is cooking a hog the night before. Please bring a side dish to eat with the pork. Paper plates, forks, napkins, water & iced tea will be provided. Bring whatever other beverages you would like for yourself and your family and please bring lawn chairs. In case of inclement weather: Location to be announced. Alumni Banquet: The Alumni Banquet is Saturday, May 23rd, 6:00 p.m. at the high school. Tickets are $15.00 and are available at the banks in Holton. Late Night: We will be joining the class of 1979. We are the young ones, by the way. Jim Dodson has hired a classic rock band to play in the field east of his house. HOW FUN IS THAT!! They will begin playing at 9:00 p.m. Please park south of the house. As mentioned earlier, George Uhl is cooking a hog, which will be for both classes!!! Class Dues: We are not asking for classmates to pay any dues or mail any money ahead of time but we will plan to “pass the hat†or free will donation to help cover expenses. Any surplus will be place in class fund. : ) Overnight accommodations: You may want to book rooms in advance. The local casinos keep motels and hotels busy.
