About	After '65 graduation, Gerry attended Valley State college a year then enlisted & served in Naval Intelligence during Nam. After honorable discharge in '71, attended UC Berkeley, where graduated w/ MFA. Worked several years as commercial artist for large Salt Lake City firm; privately created beautiful art pieces & was an amazing cartoonist. He had an extraordinary sense of humor w/ a quick wit. He was adventurous, loved animals & some women...in that order. Was married once to SLC gal/divorced/no children. After '86 HHS reunion he reconnected & maintained close friendship w/ Olivia "Gail" Pringle, his HHS "main squeeze" '65-68 & the author of this bio) until his accidental death in 2008. He is sorely missed & will always be fondly remembered as a man w/ extraordinary insight, both in the dark sorrows & in the phantasmagoric joys of life & its many surprises... He could always be counted on as a wonderful co-pilot on any "trip."
