Richie was inducted into the prestigious NASCAR hall of fame in Jan, 2012
A nine time champion of modified racing and was named one of the top ten racers of all time. Attending the ceremony in Charlotte NC were his daughters, Jodi and husband, Bill
Jill, and Jacki . also 5 of his grandchildren. Ryan, Megan, Gianna, Jenna and Marc.
Richie was formely married to a alumni of '62, Barbara )Peters) Evans
He was fatally injured in Martinsville VA. while practicing. in Oct. 1985.
