Got a email from Dan Ballaster yesterday:
Hello everyone!
In case you have not heard, we have changed the plan for our 40th reunion. It will now be held on Saturday, August 6th during WoodsFest at Woods Valley Ski Resort in Westernville, NY.
Scott Fallon is taking the lead with this reunion. If anyone is interested in helping with planning and logistics, please contact him directly. He said there will be an HP Alumni "tent" and a Class of 82 "tent" on site. We talked about a specific time Class of 82 alumni should meet up and thought 2:00 to 4:00 would be a good window to visit with classmates.
WoodsFest usually starts around noon and goes until about 10:00 p.m. It's actually a two-day event. Details and ticket prices will be announced next month.
Be sure to let anyone you know (or see) from our class or HPCS that August 6th is the new date for the reunion!

The cost is going to be $10 a person, kids are free. This will cover: hamburgers, hot dogs, buns, cake, drinks, utensils, tableware and rental of the pavilion. If people would like to bring a dish to share that would be awesome and much appreciated. The park does not permit drinking. However, I spoke with the park director and found out that they do not police this rule. So you are allowed to bring your own alcoholic beverage as long as people remain in control and things do not get out of hand. Payment: Please send your contributions for the BBQ to Dan Buley. On Saturday, Aug. 8, 2009 we will also have a Class Dinner. It will probably be held at Unity Hall, which is also in Barneveld. The dinner will be @ $25 - $30 per person. Details will follow as soon as all arrangements are finalized. As always, spouses, boyfriends, girlfriends, etc. are most welcome to attend all events! If you are not already in touch with me via the Classmates.com website, please email me and let me know whether or not you will be able to make it to the reunion. Also, it would really help if you could PLEASE do all you can to spread the word about our 40th Reunion to any classmates you are still in touch with.
