About Me	I was married to a Minden farmer for twenty years. We raised three wonderful children and lots of corn. My children are my greatest achievement! I did not go to college until I was forty years old. I got a teaching degree and taught middle school and high school English. I loved teaching. In my first year, I learned that I had Stage 3 breast cancer. My odds of surviving were slim. It was a horrible experience, as any of you who have been through it know. I kept teaching when I was so ill and I then developed an auto-immune disease during my recovery. I had to quit teaching after only seven years. That was devistating.
