About Me	After HHS, graduated from Oregon State University with B.S. degree in Mechanical Engineering, then had a 14 year career in engineering with Naval Ships System Command--Mare Island; made a significant career change in 1978 returning to graduate school and graduated with masters and doctors degrees in Clinical Preventive Care to launch a career in medical care. Held clinical positions in Georgia, Japan (18 years), Guam, Hawaii, Nevada, and presently in Austin Texas. Specialties in lifestyle medicine, complementary and alternative medicine, mind-body health, weight management, nicotine dependency, vegetarian nutrition. Had academic positions in Japan (Fukushima School of Public Health, Saniku School of Nursing, Humanitec Rehabilitation College.) Appointed to position of Professor (Preventive Care) at Loma Linda University) (retired in 2007).
