About Me | James L. Russo has served for 19 years in the United States Foreign Service. He has worked in Colombia, Costa Rica, Mexico, Bosnia, Sri Lanka and Washington, DC. Mr. Russo currently is the Director of Public Affairs at the U.S. Embassy in Colombo where he is in charge of all press, media, academic and cultural programming for Sri Lanka and the Maldives. He has earned Superior and Meritorious Honor awards with the U.S. Department of State, and speaks fluent Spanish and basic Serbo-Croatian.
