Marcus was the lead guitarist in a garage band called “The Shades of Black”.back in 1966 - 67. I was the lead singer along with Stan Hall, rhythm guitar, Wayne Hockett, bass, and Jack Thetford, Drums. I’m Ron Haley class of 65 at HHS. At this writing, only Stan and myself have survived. Rest in peace my dear friends!

I knew Marcus from first grade through our high school graduation. He was always such a kind, helpful person, and truly brilliant. I am happy that I got to see him again at a high school reunion before his passing.
