| About Me | Married Carolyn Dowell from Monticello, IL in 1972 while still undergraduate at ISU. One son (Doug) born in Hillsboro 1976, currently living in Albuquerque, NM. Taught Jr. High science one semester in Kirkland, IL post graduate. Career changed to mining in 1975 at Consolidation Coal Co at Coffeen. Remained with coal mining through 1989 after completing MS program at ISU. On staff at National Safety Council (Chicago) before landing safety manager positions with Vulcan Materials (Illinois), National Cement (California) and Intrepid Potash (New Mexico).
