Dante: Comedia - Paradiso XVII (55-59) Odd or unknown facts about me: - I teach Advanced Placement World History, Advanced Placement European History, and Advanced Placement Psychology at a local public high school. - cities I have lived in: Columbus, OH; Boston, MA; the Wildness-Kentucky - cities I have lived in (temporarily): Nantes, France; Siena, Italy - studied International Finance for a summer in Nantes, France - studied Medieval literature for a summer in Siena (Tuscany), Italy - once took a coffee tasting/making class - does yoga - absolutely hates to shave - would be near legally blind without glasses - lived one block from the 5th best coffee house in the US - Staufs Coffee House (oh the sweet smell of coffee) - found myself on the hood of the car of an escaped felon while he was fleeing a crime - played rugby (for two seasons) for Ohio State - has completed back-back centuries on a bicycle-TWICE! (TOSRV 1990 and 1991) - broke 40 MPH on a bicycle - cycled 100 miles in under 5 hours (clock running during stops) - was in a pack of over 50 cyles and DIDN'T cause the crash - couldn't possible care less about NASCAR - believes nationalism causes more harm than good - is a damn good cook - but can't grill - worked with contractors who have been on This Old House - was on the 'preferred contractors' list of Roma Tile - Best of Boston 1997 - worked on three homes each worth over $2 million - pre-2000 (highest: $5 million in Cambridge MA) - Won two NARI-NE (National Association for the Remodeling Industry: New England) awards - misses the power of owning his own business - graduated high school around 100th in a class of 303 (GPA=2.99) - didn't make my high school academic team or NHS - graduated 32nd in a class of over 1500 (top 2%) from UMB - voted for a Kennedy - misses his Suzuki Samurai - God I loved that truck - loves jazz in the summer - loves classical music in the winter - does not listen to commercial radio - EVER! - saw INXS in concert - when they opened for...Adam Ant - once shared an apartment with two women - each dating a different friend of mine (yep a Three's Company thing) - almost met Ronald Reagan in Columbus, but he (Reagan) had to take a nap - no really - is a Bill Bradley Democrat - wishes Hillary Clinton had been elected - even more so today (2/16/09) - am deathly afraid of lightening - caught too many times on the water during storms - has seen an actual tornado - won a local fishing tournament - paid for my first year at Ohio State with the furs I trapped the year before - I'll probably burn for this one - WAIT - today I'm against all forms of trapping and wearing fur - killed two bucks with a bow - regrets past life of hunting, trapping, and fishing - was almost arrested by London police on Downing Street (I didn't know I was in a restricted area) - was questioned by Massachusetts State Police at Logan Airport for trying to find out what flight my wife was on - one problem of having different names. - nearly cry everytime I watch Amadeus - the first on my mother's side of the family to graduate college - not all of me made it to Louisville - some of me I left in Italy - will appear in his FOURTH movie premiering on June 19, 2011 - government scientist this time. - wa...(read more)
