Drafted 1n 1968 trained as cannon cocker, receiver a 30 day leave before being sent to Viet Nam. Reported to Ft. Riley to be shipped out. Waited 3 days then they found out I could type. They turned me into a clerk and I spent the remainder of my time at Ft. Riley and Germany. Spec 4

He served 4 years active duty in Vicenza, Italy with the 173rd Airborne Birgade. While in Italy he deployed for 2- 12 month tours in Iraq and then Afghanistan. In June of 2006 he was honorably discharged with a medical discharge.
