Richard Avery Hughes was born February 5, 1948 and passed away on November 29, 2011 after a long illness. He was raised in the Springfield area, Hillcrest High School class of 1966. Rick spent the last several years in the New Orleans area. He was a talented guitar player and avid fisherman. He is preceded in death by his parents Roe Oliver Hughes and Marion Louise Tettleton (Edmond Eugene Tettleton). He is survived by four children: Kevin Thompson Hughes (Lisa), Stephanie Luttrell (Dirk), Angela Hughes, Kathy Domiano (Mark); sister, Merrilie Bryant; 10 grandchildren, 2 nieces and a host of friends. A memorial service was held in Louisiana and another is planned in Harrison, Ark. later in the Spring. [Spfd News Leader dated December 11, 2011]
