About	Benjamin Harrison Dimond, Jr., was born November 16, 1951 in Wichita, Kansas, to Ben and Maxine (Hachtel) Dimond. He departed this life on May 3, 2006, at Cox South in Springfield after a short illness. Survivors include devoted lifelong caregiver, Aunt Mary; mother, Maxine; brother, David; sister, Kim; half brother, Mike; stepsister, Beth, Step-mom, Beck; Aunt Jean; and several nieces and nephews, cousins and friends. He was preceded in death by his father, Ben; and his paternal and maternal grandparents. He was a member of Nation Heights Baptist Church. He graduated from Hillcrest High School Limited Curriculum and attended the Springfield Association for the Blind for several years. A visitation will be held on Sunday, May 7, 2006, from 7 to 6 p.m. in the Klingner-Cope Family Funeral Home at 1635 N. Benton, Springfield. Services will be Monday, May 8, 2006, at 10 a.m. in the funeral home with burial to follow at Mt. Olive Cemetery. [Spfd News Leader dated 06 May 2006; SSDI]
