About	David M. Collier, age 62, of Springfield, Mo., was born July 5, 1948 and passed away Thursday, April 21, 2011 in his home surrounded by family. He graduated from Hillcrest High School in 1966. He served in the USMC Reserves from 1967-1973. He was a retired computer programmer from Bank of America; and had worked six years as a Catastrophe Claims Adjuster. He was united in marriage to Judy (Roberts) Collier on February 11, 1967 in Springfield. He was a member of James River Assembly. He was an avid outdoorsman. He loved to hunt, fish, and ride his Harley. He was a Nascar fan but most of all an avid golfer. He loved cooking on the Big Green Egg and making homemade ice cream. He was preceded in death by his parents, Russell and Geneva Collier; and his brother, James. He is survived by his wife of 44 years, Judy Collier; children, Kevin and his wife Carrie and Danny and his wife Tina; grandchildren, Gregory, Paige, Grace, Mikala, and Paige Hopkins; brothers, Charles and Ellen, and Richard and Freda; half-sister, Judy and Ray Morris; many nieces, nephews, and cousins. He had numerous friends throughout the country. He loved spending time on the golf course with his buddies, Curt Horton, Craig Withers, and Jerry Henderson as well as hunting with Dennie Whittaker. He is also survived by his two couch pals, Buster and Buddy. Funeral services will be April 26, 2011 in Greenlawn Funeral Home East at 10 a.m. Burial will follow in Greenlawn. Visitation will be April 25, from 6 to 8 p.m., in the funeral home. The family suggests memorial donations be made to the Cancer Treatment Centers of America, 10109 East 79th Street, Tulsa, OK 74133. David was an outstanding husband, father, papa and friend. He was very patriotic and extremely proud of his family and a true believer in God. He will be loved and remembered forever.
