About	Carl D. Rhoten, age 62, of Springfield, MO., passed away in his home with his family on April 12, 2006, after a 14-month battle with cancer. He was born to Carl V. and Claranda (Stokes) Rhoten on April 6, 1944. His father preceded him in death. Carl was a Veteran and retired after 25 years with the Springfield Fired Department. He was employed at O’Reilly Automotive at the time of his illness. On December 24, 1962, he was married to Ernestine Mills. He is survived by his wife, Ernestine; son, Kevin and his wife, Judy, their children, Lucas, Rachel and Olivia; his daughter, Kendra Holden and her husband, Stacy, their daughters, Shelbi and Maycee; his mother, Claranda Hudson and her husband, Glenn; two sisters, Marie and husband, Danny McMurray, and Irma and husband David Delzell; and seven nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. Monday, April 17th at Greenlawn Funeral Home North. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society.
